Description
The VBT-BE „Band external“ is our band-based system for external post-tensioning. It consists of monostrands which are combined together by an additional outer sheathing.
A well defined tendon band system is provided, which is easily scaleable to the required application by the numbers of band layers.
The advantages of this system are given in:
- Simple handling
- Long lengths of continuous bands (> 700m)
- Simple and effective scaling because of modular system using bands
- Restressable
- Checkable
- Exchangeable
Field of application
Main fields of application are:
- External post-tensioning of new constructions (e.g. in girder box of bridge structures)
- Strengthening and refurbishment of existing structures
